Presentation of the ELLIS project at the 2021 International Population Conference

In December 2021, Martina Otavova presented our research on inequalities in mortality associated with housing conditions in Belgium between 1991 and 2020 in the poster session of the International Population Conference 2021 (https://ipc2021.secure-platform.com/a/organizations/main/home). As mentioned in one of the previous blog posts on our website, we used the newly developed indices of housing deprivation 1991, 2001, and 2011 to investigate the association between increased mortality and housing inequality and to estimate the number of deaths that could be prevented if the population of Belgium faced the mortality rates of the least deprived housing deprivation decile.
